Newsletter Editor for Utah Dressage Society. Served December 2013 through December 2014. As the editor, I wrote several articles, edited, composed board communiques, designed advertisements, and compiled the newsletters (including the layout and graphic design) for each newsletter for a full year (12 issues). "Universal Access Self-Study" led by Melissa Helquist, Clint Gardner and Lynn Kilpatrick for 2014-2015. This requires self-assessment, training, and re-design of my courses to improve the accessibility of the course.

"Writing and Social Justice Conference Committee" for 2015. Within the committee, I have secured presentations from Utah Senator Jim Dabakis and Marriage Equality Utah representatives.
SLCC S.O.A.P. Student Club Faculty Advisor, 2010. Mentored Dut Bior, of the Lost Boys of Sudan, to develop a club to represent SLCC Chapter of S.O.A.P., which is the Student Orphan Aid Program. Bior was one of my students in ENGL 1010 and has gone on to work internationally and speak in TEDx SLC (link). See S.O.A.P. International here: http://soapinternational.org/
"Transition to Adult Living" Mentor. Mentored two students entering college with a scholarship as incentive for college life and transitioning to adulthood out of foster care. 2011- 2013.
